Oh so many great people are out there. I feel your support. I receive emails from you telling me to keep writing. I meet people in the temple, asking when the next book will be out. I see people in the store who introduce me to their families. I thank you for your kind support and gentle prods to write more. Write more…. There’s something to say about that.

Here’s what has happened in the last year. In a nutshell–bought chickens, bought rabbits, bought bees, created a winter garden, felt good, neighbors didn’t like the rabbits, chickens or the bees and sent the city out to investigate/inspect/apply fees/take away freedoms–what happened to property rights? I guess it’s a facade. A fight ensued that hit the front page of the Herald–”Cedar Hills chicken owners want setback reduced”, the city took a vote and the ordinance was changed–not in our favor. Mother’s day 2011, found a orchard with 1000 apple trees, artesian well, tiny farm house, 8.2 acres a few miles from where the new Payson temple was to be built. Perfect! Inspiration! Self sufficiency! We bought it. We moved. We cleared the land of 600 trees but kept 400 (wow! 400 is still so many!) We built chicken coops, raised pigs, increased our bee hives from 1 to 11 and learned the rules of nature. Nature’s tough! Weeds! Worms! Mice! Flies! But oh, the water tastes good and the freedom is real and self sufficiency is so sweet! The time is late, the world is rocking with instability, one nation’s economy falls, another, then another. Will there be an oil embargo? Will our dollar survive? Will Obama usurp all the powers of congress to become a king? A light shines forth from the hearts of the saints. They faithfully go to the temple. They faithfully follow the prophet and quietly prepare for times to come. Are they afraid? No! They are full of faith and love the Lord. We are they. We will survive. We will not fear. We are preparing and feel good about life. Our blessings overflow.

OK, so back to the question will I write again? I am writing. Not as much as I used to, but I have a 100 pages done of the next book. That’s a pretty good start. It won’t come out in Spring as I had hoped, but it will come out. Will it come out before the dollar crashes? My husband says yes, I’m not so sure. So much is teetering on the edge of oblivion. The question is, do those who control the nations want it to fall now or later. That’s the only thing that decides. We can be propped up as long as they wish, or fall as fast as they desire. We, the citizens of this world, are only along for the ride. I will write in good faith that either now or later, the words will be published.

Here is a question from a reader about the doctrine of translation and some thoughts. Maybe you have some too….

Wendie,

In your opinion, what qualifies one for translation before the Savior returns? For example, what qualified Bo in your story for translation? And, if his wife had not died, would she have been translated with him? If a person goes through the Sanctification process as an individual, receive their calling and election, and see the Savior in this life, does that qualify them to ask to be translated? Can a woman qualify for translation with or without her spouse? Are the 144,000 (And I do agree with you that is a symbolic amount) translated individuals and are they married….if so are their mates translated too at the same time? Do you think it is possible to be translated now, and still live in your family situation as the only one that is translated like Bo did? And…would your family members be allowed to know?

Many of you have asked me, “Is this the last book of the series?” And I’ve answered, “No, of course not!” However, as time has passed, I have realized the end doesn’t have to mean “the end.” In life there are many ends that always lead to a new beginning. This is the gift we have been given of eternal life, beginnings upon beginnings that hold within them ends within ends. I have decided to end this series with book X, despite my previous plans. I see there is wisdom in limiting the number of books in a series, if only for psychological closure. As this series ends, another begins. As the sixth seal closes, the seventh opens. A new series, “The Reign of Glory” begins as I push this extra large book off to the printers.

Reign of Glory will have many of the same characters, especially in the beginning, but it will travel far into the future focusing mostly on the youngers characters in the Millennial Glory series. I intend to continue to write this series until I can encapsulate the scriptures and their story of our path here  on earth. As I have studied the gospel so intently these last ten years, I have come to appreciate the vastness of our future. Life goes on! Yes, Christ will come to the earth, but despite the perception of so many, that is not the end! It is the beginning. I’m excited to continue to explore that world–0ur world that is yet to come. I hope you’ll join me in that journey.

Prologue

Elevated Dimensions

Independence, Missouri

12:01 a.m.

A sudden whirlwind swirled out of the north. A great cloud and an amber-colored fire frothed within as the whirlwind whipped it. Out of the midst of the fire, John felt a presence. He recognized this feeling—he knew it was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! John was being beckoned to His side.

John felt a pulling sensation deep within his soul. It was electrical in nature and sent tingling and intense joy out through the rest of his body as he became one with the power of God.

John knew what came next—he would be pulled into higher dimensions[1] of existence[2] where God lived, but only exalted and translated bodies could endure.[3]

He could feel time speeding up on earth as time and space wrinkled and folded around him, opening to let him in.[4] John was traveling quickly through the fabric of hyperspace, though physically he was still standing motionless. His body felt increasingly heavy, almost as though lead were now coursing through his veins, as he ripped through the fabric of the next dimension.

John watched as earthly time sped past him and he moved into its future. The moon spun swiftly though her quarters from new to full, and the stars circled dazzlingly above him. Days and nights merged into hazy grayness. The sun streaked through the sky like a comet; there was a sheath of blackness[5] that hid it from view momentarily, followed by a burst of fire[6] and molten rock, which quickly settled into a cold, cold darkness. John knew that this was the earth’s renewing into its paradisiacal glory.[7]

As John gazed on, he saw jewel-like greens of the earth and brilliant blues of the sky as life returned to the earth and the earth became healthy and strong again. Magnificent architecture rose up around him, more massive and beautiful, more glorious than had ever been seen on the earth before.[8] He beheld the rich green hues deepen as the trees and foliage matured. Not a speck of dreary winter, dry desert, or barren mountainside existed to mar the land, making the earth glorious.[9] It seemed very inviting, and John was happy that this was the earth’s grand future. Man would be happy here for a long and fruitful time.[10]

There was a sonic boom signaling that John’s speed was slowing down, now that he had entered this elevated dimension. He looked about, disoriented. His mind was not quite accustomed to the new flow of time that existed in this sphere.

He saw the figure of a man approaching him; however, he looked blurry, like a movie out of focus, and each image merged into the next, giving the figure what looked like four heads with four different faces. The man was not walking, but gliding effortlessly, and to John’s eyes, he seemed to spread himself from point to point, like peanut butter over a piece of bread. The man had hands, but they blurred in action, making it look like he had four hands as well as four legs and feet.

John shook his head. He knew this was not really how celestial beings appeared, but his temporal mind was not attuned properly yet.[11]

“John,” said a kind, soothing voice.

“Yea, Lord, I hear thee, but my mind is playing tricks, as if my belly is full of old wine,” John said, shaking his head back and forth to clear his vision.

John felt a comforting hand on his shoulder and a gentle touch to his eyes.[12] He waited a moment and then opened his eyes again. When he did, the entire world was perfect. The glistening white of eternal shimmering delighted him as always. It seemed as if millions of rainbows filled every corner, as the radiant light filled everything.[13]

John then looked at the gentle man who had helped him adjust to this dimension. It was God, his Lord Jesus, and he was standing face to face with Him.[14]

John immediately fell to his knees. “My Savior!” he said without restraint.

“Stand,” said Jesus Christ, “John, my Beloved.”

John stood slowly, feeling very honored for this personal moment with his long-missed and beloved cousin,[15] who was the greatest being ever to live in the history of mankind.[16]

“Look,” said Jesus.

John looked and beheld the earth, as Jesus saw it. He was able to see the past, present and future in one glance, to know every part of time and the events that belonged to each.[17]

“Yes, Lord, I see.”

“This is the world I have created to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.”[18]

“Yes, Lord; these long years have I served within time, to bring men to thee.”[19] In that moment, John saw the world as he had before. He comprehended each soul that had been born, lived and died. He comprehended all the parts of the earth: every rock, every tree, every bird, every particle of its creation. It all happened in a flash of a moment, and he understood it all perfectly.[20] He understood the significance and weight of all of creation.[21]

“And this is our brother[22] from the beginning, who fell from grace and now roams the earth, seeking to destroy the plan of God.[23] He is very angry.”

John looked and beheld Satan. He comprehended all his plans and dominions, his followers and their efforts to wrap men in his chains.[24] He understood Satan’s great desire to be worshiped, to be respected and honored at every expense.[25] John saw the political machine that he had inspired,[26] and the kings of the earth that he had seduced.[27] As he beheld all the murderous evil and the decadent horror Satan would use to enslave man, he covered his eyes to stop the scene that filled his mind. “Please Lord, remove the vision from me!”

In a moment, the vision was taken.

“…For what purpose can I serve you?” asked John, after he had recovered. “For what purpose hast thou called me?”

“This is the great day of Satan’s power.[28] He rules all under heaven, except for my few, whom I have chosen.”[29]

John nodded. He knew this. “What is Thy command?”

“Thou hast seen the end of the earth and knowest it cometh quickly.”

“Yea Lord,” John agreed, feeling an intense yearning to be whisked into the Millennium, rather than have to go back to the time of tribulation, but knowing this was not possible.

“Hours and minutes are short on earth. Soon, the beast will begin to devour my children. He will move quickly and suddenly.[30] Protect them.”

A new emotion surged through John’s being. The Lord’s words were the exact desire he had in his heart. “Yea, Lord! I will do as thou biddest.”

“It is time, John. Seal my people to me.[31] Protect them. It is for this purpose you have been saved for this day.”[32]

“Yes, Lord.”

“And as you bring a purified people to me,[33] the earth will tremble and the mountains will flee at their command, just as it did in ancient times.[34] A light will emanate from the city so that kings will greatly fear for the righteousness that will be upon my people.”[35]

“I will do as thou sayest!” John said obediently, feeling liberated and joyful. Finally, the great day of the Lord had come! “I will be filled with joy for the opportunity.”

“That is good,” said Jesus, smiling. He gave John a gentle but sincere hug, followed by a firm pat on the back.

Suddenly, John was catapulted back through time and space. It was a painful, head banging, nauseating transition. It felt to John as if he was on a rickety rollercoaster being jolted back and forth down an insanely steep mountain. He knew that there would be a punishing mental pain as he caught up to his own temporal space, similar to how it might feel when a mortal landed flat on top of the water after jumping off a high cliff. He was sure no mere mortal could endure it.

Thunder rolled through the sky and John opened his eyes. He was right back where he had been before he had entered God’s space and time. There was a wispy cloud above his head, which twirled away into the night sky as the thunder echoed off into the distance.

He was back.

Notes to “Prologue”

Elevated Dimensions

[1] It is being portrayed that God and Jesus exist in a concurrent but elevated dimension due to the following statements of LDS scientists who specialize in quantum physics.

The theory of general relativity “allows a very nice view of the creation and operation of the universe, in that it extends into more than three spatial dimensions, allowing all kinds of interesting phenomena—and, of course, the Creator would be able to comprehend and use all dimensions although we cannot. Travel of celestial beings—as we understand it from events such as Moroni’s appearances to Joseph Smith in his bedroom—might easily be explained by postulating extra dimensions” (Dr. David Clark, Of Heaven and Earth: Reconciling Scientific Thought with LDS Theology, p. 164).

[2] If different dimensions governed different glories of existence, the following would be true:

“The idea that the inhabitants of a particular kingdom cannot visit higher kingdoms but can visit lower kingdoms is implicitly (and to a degree explicitly) stated in [D&C 76 (vs. 77, 86–88, 112)]. One possible explanation for this limitation would be that each kingdom has one more spatial dimension than the next lower kingdom. Thus the inhabitants of a given kingdom could not enter into the next higher kingdom any more than we could by our own power leave this three-dimensional space and move about in one which has four dimensions. The inhabitants of a dimensionally superior kingdom could, however, visit any lower kingdom contained within their space, just as we could visit a two-dimensional world if such a world existed within our universe” (Robert P. Burton, Bruce F. Webster, “Some Thoughts on Higher-dimensional Realms,” BYU Studies, Vol. 20 (1979–1980), p. 293).

[3] Here’s another set of circumstances that might implicate other dimensions used by God for His own purposes:

“In the Book of Moses we find the account of the removal of an entire city—the city of Enoch—an event which provoked those who remained to exclaim, ‘Zion is fled!’ (Moses 7:69) In the same chapter, we find that those who were converted after the city of Enoch departed were ‘caught up by the powers of heaven into Zion’ to be there also (Moses 7:21, 27). In 2nd Corinthians, Paul describes being ‘caught up to the third heaven,’ possibly while still in a mortal body (2 Corinthians 12:2), while in 3rd Nephi, the three disciples of Christ were caught up into heaven and then returned to earth (3 Nephi 28:13–16). All of these quotations refer to a phenomenon in which people and other physical objects are suddenly removed from this planet to another place. Where did they go? How did they get there? Again the question arises: did this involve a traversal of interstellar space, or were the people and things in question simply moved to an adjacent realm? For the authors of this article, the inconveniences of interstellar travel, even at speeds near the speed of light, make the latter explanation more acceptable” (Robert P. Burton, Bruce F. [4] As a mortal enters God’s realm, would he do it through a portal? Would he need to use a wormhole, or the forces of gravity and cosmic strings? Would he have to travel at nearly the speed of light? The answers to these questions are unknown. What is known is that beings that are taken from this sphere experience things that words in our time-bound, three-dimensional world fall short in describing.

“And behold, the heavens were opened, and they were caught up into heaven, and saw and heard unspeakable things…neither was it given unto them power that they could utter the things which they saw and heard” (3 Nephi 28:13–14).

We also know that a mortal must be changed to endure this transition and still live in mortality afterwards.

“They were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state, that they could behold the things of God” (3 Nephi 28:15).

Since John is already translated, this step was unnecessary for the story.

A third thing we know is that when a mortal is taken into God’s sphere, he is subject to the laws that govern that sphere. There are a good number of scriptures that give us clues that dictate that God has control over the fourth dimension, which is known as timespace. In this dimension, time is not as it is for us, but the “past, present, and future…are continually before the Lord” (D&C 130:7). It is possible that as one enters God’s presence, time could rush forwards or backwards, revealing their details to the prophets as they stand in the presence of God and see as He sees.

“And the Lord showed Enoch all things, even unto the end of the world” (Moses 7:67). See also Moses 1, Ether 3:25–26, Mormon 8:35, and Isaiah 29.

John’s experience is meant to reflect these scriptural observations.

[5] “I clothe the heavens with blackness, and make sackcloth their covering” (D&C 133:69).

[6] “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven” (Malachi 4:1).

[7] “We believe…that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisaical glory” (Articles of Faith 1:10).

[8] “We believe that we shall rear splendid edifices, magnificent temples and beautiful cities that shall become the pride, praise and glory of the whole earth. We believe that this people will excel in literature, in science and the arts and in manufacture. In fact, there will be a concentration of wisdom, not only of the combined wisdom of the world as it now exists, but men will be inspired in regard to all these matters in a manner and to an extent that they have never been before, and we shall have eventually, when the Lord’s purposes are carried out, the most magnificent buildings, the most pleasant and beautiful gardens, the richest and most costly clothing, and be the most healthy and the most intellectual people that will reside upon the earth” (John Taylor, Journal of Discourses, April 6, 1863, Vol. 10, p. 147).

[9] The earth “will return to the Edenic, terrestrial state which existed when the Lord God finished the creative enterprise and pronounced everything that he had made, ‘very good’ (Genesis 1:31). In that primeval day, thorns, thistles, briars, and noxious weeds had not yet made their appearance (Genesis 3:18); there were no deserts and unfruitful places, no barren and unproductive mountains, but the whole earth was a delightful garden; all the earth’s land surface was in one place, the seas in another” (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 494).

[10] “At the beginning of the Millenium the earth and all things upon it will be quickened, made alive, and transfigured—lifted spiritually to a higher plane for a season. The earth will be transformed from a telestial to a terrestrial glory, to that paradisiacal condition of which the scriptures and the prophets speak, that glorious condition that prevailed in Eden before the Fall (Articles of Faith 1:10). There will indeed be a new heaven and a new earth (Isaiah 65:17; Revelation 21:1)” (Robert L. Millet, Watch and Be Ready: Preparing for the Second Coming of the Lord, pgs. 169–170).

[11] This portion of John’s experience is taken from Ezekiel’s somewhat distorted view of heavenly beings and objects:

“Out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings…. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures….The appearance of the wheels…was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went” (Ezekiel 1:4–18).

“The highly unusual and somewhat confusing language that Ezekiel used to describe what he saw might well be the result of the inadequacy of our language to describe hyperdimensional objects or events. His description of ‘a wheel in the middle of a wheel’ could suggest a four-dimensional torus, just as a hypercube is often represented as a cube within a cube. The reference to multiple-sided beings who went straight forward (though, apparently, facing in different directions) parallels in part a description of a hyperobject entering our space. These, of course, are only possibilities, but we feel that they may be viable” (Robert P. Burton, Bruce F. Webster, “Some Thoughts on Higher-dimensional Realms,” BYU Studies, Vol. 20 (1979–1980), p. 288).

[12] This gesture seems common during heavenly visions:

“Behold, I will show you all these. And he put his hand upon mine eyes, and I saw those things which his hands had made, which were many; and they multiplied before mine eyes, and I could not see the end thereof” (Abraham 3:12).

[13] “As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord” (Ezekiel 1:28).

[14] When the Lord talks to His prophets, He does it not as an intimidating power, even though it is clear that He could do so; but instead, He chooses to speak as He is: a glorified man.

“And I saw the Lord; and he stood before my face, and he talked with me, even as a man talketh one with another, face to face” (Moses 7:4).

[15] “Some expositors hold that Salome was the sister of Mary the mother of Jesus; and therefore the Savior’s aunt. This relationship would make James and John cousins to Jesus” (James E. Talmage, Jesus the Christ, p. 483).

[16] “Jesus Christ is the greatest being to be born on this earth. His life is the perfect example of how all mankind should live. All prayers, blessings, and priesthood ordinances should be done in his name. He is the Lord of lords, King of kings, the Creator, the Savior, and the God of the whole earth” (“Jesus Christ,” Guide to the Scriptures, http://scriptures.lds.org/en/gs/j/22).

[17] “In various places in the scriptures, we read where prophets were shown the future with detailed accuracy, such visions often encompassing the entire history of the earth (see  Moses 1 and 7; Ether 3:25–26; Mormon 8:35; Isaiah 29). For example, Joseph Smith said: ‘The great Jehovah contemplated the whole of the events connected with the earth, pertaining to the plan of salvation, before it rolled into existence, or ever “the morning stars sang together” for joy; the past, the present, and the future were and are, with him, one eternal “now”’ (Smith, Teachings, p. 220; see also D&C 84:100). Because of this quote as well as passages in the scriptures and elsewhere, we offer the possibility that time as we perceive it may itself be a dimension, and that those existing in higher dimensions may view time in its entirety (see Alma 40:8), just as one could see the entire Grand Canyon from the air but could only see a small portion at a time if traversing it on foot” (Robert P. [18] “For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man” (Moses 1:39).

[19] We know from Third Nephi that this was John’s desire:

“I know your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which John, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me.…And all this will I do because of the thing which ye have desired of me, for ye have desired that ye might bring the souls of men unto me, while the world shall stand” (3 Nephi 28:6, 9).

[20] “Wherefore, no man can behold all my works, except he behold all my glory; and no man can behold all my glory, and afterwards remain in the flesh on the earth” (Moses 1:5).

[21] We know from other prophetic accounts that when changed, and in the presence of God, one can perceive every soul on earth and every particle of matter which makes up the earth.

“Moses cast his eyes and beheld the earth, yea, even all of it; and there was not a particle which he did not behold, discerning it by the spirit of God. And he beheld also the inhabitants thereof, and there was not a soul which he beheld not; and he discerned them by the Spirit of God; and their numbers were great, even numberless as the sand upon the sea shore” (Moses 1:27–29).

[22] “The devil (literally meaning slanderer) is a spirit son of God who was born in the morning of pre-existence (D&C 76:25–26). Endowed with agency, the free power of choice, he chose the evil part from the beginning, thus placing himself in eternal opposition to the divine will. He was ‘a liar from the beginning’ (D&C 33:25). Obviously he gained for himself great executive and administrative ability and had a sufficiently compelling personality to influence for ill a myriad host of other spirit offspring of the Father. His position was one of great power and authority. He was ‘an angel of God’ who ‘became a devil, having sought that which was evil before God’ (2 Nephi 2:17; D&C 76:25)” (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 192).

[23] “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

[24] “The devil will grasp them with his everlasting chains, and they be stirred up to anger, and perish” (2 Nephi 28:19).

[25] “One of Satan’s greatest aims, as he works his nefarious schemes among men, is to get them ‘to worship him’ (Moses 1:12; 6:49). His success in this venture is phenomenal. As the god of this world, he has the support and, though they may not consciously realize it, the adoration and worship of all those who live after the manner of the world. [26] “Satan’s influence is also manifest in the world through governmental powers, particularly those in which dictatorship and compulsion are the rule. Political philosophies, as those which spread communistic and socialistic ideologies, are his propaganda vehicles. Those educational philosophies which deny Christ, and the divine origin of man as an offspring of God, are spawned and sponsored by Satan. Secret combinations, evil oath-bound organizations, criminal gangs, and groups of every sort which run counter to the principles of the gospel of salvation are organizations founded, sponsored, and used by the devil” (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 194).

[27] “Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgement of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication” (Revelation 17:1–2).

[28] “In the early days of our dispensation, when the Lord was laying the foundations of his great latter-day work, he said: ‘The day speedily cometh; the hour is not yet, but is soon at hand, when peace shall be taken from the earth’—this time has now come, and peace has been taken from the earth—‘and the devil shall have power over his own dominion.’ That day also is now with us, and Lucifer reigns in the hearts of his own” (Bruce R. McConkie, Millennial Messiah, p. 367).

[29] “And it came to pass that I beheld the church of the Lamb of God, and its numbers were few, because of the wickedness and abominations of the whore who sat upon many waters” (1 Nephi 14:12).

[30] “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High” (Daniel 7:21–22).

[31] “Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads” (Revelation 7:3).

[32] “Q. What are we to understand by the angel ascending from the east, Revelation 7th chapter and 2nd verse?  A. We are to understand that the angel ascending from the east is he to whom is given the seal of the living God over the twelve tribes of Israel” (D&C 77:9).

Who is the angel who ascends from the east? “From the teaching in verses 9 and 14 (of D&C 77) one cannot help concluding (1) that John the Revelator has a commission to gather together the tribes of Israel and (2) that he is the Elias who, as it is written, must come and restore all things. If these conclusions are correct…then we are driven to a third conclusion, namely, that John the Revelator is the angel ascending from the east as related in Revelation 7:2” (Sidney B. Sperry, Doctrine and Covenants Compendium, p. 367).

[33] “The prophet Joseph Smith taught that this sealing ‘signifies sealing the blessings upon their heads, meaning the everlasting covenant, thereby making their calling and election sure’ (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 321)” (Doctrine and Covenants Student Manual, 324–325, p. 169).

[34] “And so great was the faith of Enoch that he led the people of God, and their enemies came to battle against them; and he spake the word of the Lord, and the earth trembled, and the mountains fled, even according to his command; and the rivers of water were turned out of their course; and the roar of the lions was heard out of the wilderness; and all nations feared greatly, so powerful was the word of Enoch, and so great was the power of the language which God had given him” (Moses 7:13).

[35] “They will say, ‘Let us cross the ocean, and let us see this thing that is reported to us by telegraph; let us see whether it is so or not.’ Well, when they get within a day or two’s journey of the city they will be alarmed. Some of these kings and nobles, when they see the light shining forth like the northern lights in the arctic regions, illuminating the whole face of the heavens—when they see this light shining forth long before they reach the city, fear will take hold of them, says the Psalmist, in the 48th Psalm, they will become weak, and their knees will smite together like the knees of Belshazzar. They will try to haste away from the glory of God and from the power of God, and to get out of the country as soon as possible. Fear and terror will be upon them. It will have an effect upon many other kings and nobles, more pure in heart, more honest, that are willing to receive the truth; it will have a different effect upon them” (Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, October 26, 1879, Vol. 24, p. 29).

Do any of these statements sound familiar?

“I don’t want to know the future. If it happens, then I’ll deal with it.”

“I don’t think about the devil. I’d rather surround myself with good things.”

“I don’t study the scriptures to know about the devil. I study topics like faith and love. It seems weird to me to study the scriptures to learn about Satan.”

These are statements I’ve received when people are asking me what my series is about and I tell them that it’s a series aimed at unveiling Satan and his plans for the last days and how the Saints will respond and win the great fight. Sometimes the person I’m talking to gets a worried look on their face and says, “Oh, I couldn’t read that series like that, it’d make me scared. Anything with Satan in it, I avoid.”

To that, I have to cringe. There’s a war going on for our souls! Shouldn’t we study about our enemy? Shouldn’t we amass weapons of every sort to fight his fiery darts? How do we fight an enemy whom we do not know?

Mothers! Teach your children! Teach them about their enemy! Help them identify him so they might fight him too! Do not ignore him! Do not pretend he doesn’t exist! Teach them so they will be empowered! Teach them so they will not be deceived!!

“[The devil] flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance.”

Our enemy is one nigh unto God, one so intelligent, powerful and influential that he was a peer of Jesus Christ.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:11-13).

Help your children put on the armor of Christ! Educate them to his tactics of war, his strategies of deception.

“Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8)

This is what Joseph Smith said:

“The world in general have been grossly ignorant in regard to [evil spirits]. …There always did, in every age, seem to be a lack of intelligence pertaining to this subject. Spirits of all kinds have been manifested, in every age, and almost amongst all people” (Joseph Smith, Discourses of Joseph Smith,  pg. 110-111).

Through study, I have learned that Satan can perform great miracles—almost any miracle that Jesus did, he can do also. Satan can inspire you by whispering in your ear. He can quote scriptures, he can cause natural disasters, he can make us sick, he can possess the bodies of those we love…Most people have no idea the powers he posses.

Here’s another shocking statement—everything that happens to us is either influenced by good or evil. See the following:

“God and Satan may influence man directly or indirectly. Direct influence comes in the form of personal revelation from either, God acting upon the spirit (heart and mind) and body of man, and Satan working upon the body. Or the influence may be indirect, through other human beings, through illness or calamity, or through natural events. The person receiving these influences might not recognize either God or Satan as existing or having any effect in a given situation. But it is fundamental to scripture-based thinking to recognize that all good that is really good comes from God and that everything that is evil is sent forth by the power of Satan” (Larry C. Porter, Susan Easton Black, Prophet Joseph: Essays on the Life and Mission of Joseph Smith, pg 265).

Millennial Glory X, Adam-ondi-ahman, scheduled to be released in August, 2010, will be a provocative, honest, and brave look at both the worlds of light and darkness. To see light for light, one must know the dark, so that the dark appears as it is and not to some as light. It is my goal to expose the evil that slinks around us now, hiding behind a cloak of invisibility. I’m handing everyone who reads, spiritual glasses to see angels and demons and the war raging around us, as it truly does.

As one educates him or herself to Satan’s tactics, then maybe we’ll be a little less lax as we begin to hear the subtle lies of Satan that are being fed to our children through cartoons, movies by Pixar, Disney productions, or to ourselves through academy award winning movies, in the music we listen to, in the shows we watch on TV, in the political speeches around us, or even found in self help lectures, or books which profess to be about love, peace and unity, but lead us on a path claiming there is no need for the true son of God and his atonement, because guilt and sin are imaginary. (The list is longer, but I don’t have room here to discuss all of them.)

So gird up your loins, fresh courage take and be prepared to stare Satan in the face for the first time and know him for who he is—and why should you do that? …He is definitely watching you.

A Luciferian movement, in one form or another, has been ebbing and flowing in the world since the days of Cain, the purpose of which has always been to claim the souls of men. Is it about us now?

One movement, which is a great example of how Satan is becoming more powerful and fulfilling the words of the scriptures, is known as the “New Age Movement.” Products that are produced from key players among them are aimed at unsuspecting consumers who are interested in self help and other peaceful topics, such as love, and financial success. One can find these teachings peddled on trusted broadcasts as Oprah, and PBS. These are well known, best seller titles such as A course in miracles, A New Earth: Awakening to your life’s purpose, You can heal your life, Conversations with God, The Law of Attraction, The Secret, and Return to Love. (Now don’t take offense! Some of my best friends swear by these books! But keep your mind open.)

Today, “New Age” writings are found by search words such as the “New Thought,” the “New Spirituality,” a “New Paradigm,” “Mind-Body-Spirit,” the “Holistic Movement,” or even “Global Peace/Anti War Movement” and they are selling hundreds of millions of products, influencing hundreds of millions of minds, their authors sitting on world and national boards for peace, having great influence on our political leaders as well as others, internationally. (And yes, big money is behind them—the same families that run the financial world—surprise! …Not! Oh, what a web is woven for our capture!)

I was floored when I was sent New Age material from a reader. I couldn’t believe what I was reading! The sound of their voices, the principles taught, the appeal, and tactics were those straight from antichrist characters in the Book of Mormon! Scripture after scripture from ancient as well as modern prophet have been warning us of the “Whore of the earth” and Satan who sets himself up to be God. Look at these tell-tale signs of Satan’s involvement:

Many of the above authors teach of a “New Gospel” being revealed to the earth through them, which is a gospel of peace. Sounds good, right? However, these principles are being communicated from “Christ” through an “inner voice” “channeling” messages not for them, but for the world. We believe in revelation, but God is a God of order and there is only one prophet on the earth at one time, and we know who he is at all times, and he isn’t a woman, a retired radio show host or a politician.

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many,” (Matthew 24:11).

These authors claim to speak the mind of “god.” They attempt to clarifying misunderstood meanings of the scriptures. They tell us “there is no sin,” “There is no God.” “God is creation.” “God is us.” “There is no Satan.” “There is no atonement, because there is no sin,” “all sexuality, inside marriage, outside marriage, including homosexuality, is good, because there is no sin” and the list goes on. Would God, the true God, say these things? No.

“In the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1).

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Even after hearing the above clues, and even after knowing the teachings being pushed are similar to the anti-christ teachings in the Book of Mormon, (Jacob 7, Alma 30), a danger signal may not go off in our heads until one learns that part of the basic beliefs of the “New Gospel” is death to traditional Christians, Jews and Muslims! A member of a “traditional religion” that believes in the “traditional view of God” as “cancer” and must be killed, or “healed” of their misperceptions if the world is to obtain peace!

“And in her [Babylon] was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth” (Revelation 18:24).

A “selection process” is mentioned, which the faithful of the “gospel of peace” will receive a mark on their forehead and those without it will be turned in and killed!

“As many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads” (Revelation 13:15-16)

Another teaching is of the coming of a being with supernatural powers expected to come to the earth, fulfilling the office of “Jesus Christ” and taking the seat of the Pope, as well as representing all religions of the world! (Yes, folks, I’m telling the truth. Just like the series.) Most say he’s already come and lives on the earth now, waiting for the world to be ready for his emergence! “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many” (Matthew 24:5).

“Satan cried with a loud voice, and ranted upon the earth, and commanded, saying: I am the Only Begotten, worship me!” (Moses 1:19)

I have to admit, on the surface, if one doesn’t dig veryfar, the “New Gospel” teachings sound benign and very “Christian” with its discussion of God, love and brotherhood, but that is where its danger lies. They sound good. However, beware. Their definitions of “Christian” words such as “atonement” “Christ” “God” and “sin” are far different than revealed to us through scripture. These leaders speak in a forked, twisted tongue that caters to the natural man, releasing all men of all accountability, in the name and by the authority of “god”.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15).

Now listen carefully to the news, our political leaders, world statements from the UN, and I think you will begin to recognize these forked tongues, already speaking the words of the “gospel of peace.”

Have you, like me, been lulled to sleep by gentle, peaceful tones which speak of service, world protection, self realization and caring, only to lead us to other conclusions?

“When ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you” (Ether 8:24).

Could it be that Satan’s voice is already moving the nations, disguising his agendas with peaceful words and phrases in mainstream media? Could it be that his voice is becoming familiar and comfortable? Could it be that his political system/church is rising to fill the earth? Will we be ready identify him and tell the difference between his servant’s words and our Savior’s?

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24).

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

“If any man have an ear, let him hear” (Revelation 13:9).

Our prophet and his leaders are aware of Satan’s movements. Our leaders speak to their voices and warn us constantly to awake and see! (See M. “Who Isn’t a Terrorist?

It seems to be getting increasingly difficult to find someone who isn’t considered a terrorist.

• Colombian security officials called Fredy Munoz, a Venezuelan reporter for Venezuelan network Telasur, a terrorist in relation to bombings on the Caribbean Coast in 2002.
• Indonesian protestors called President Bush a terrorist and war criminal on the occasion of his visit;
• Iraq’s Shiite Interior Minister Jawad Al Bolani called leading Sunni cleric, a terrorist inciter;
• American students called the Navy SEALS and Green Berets terrorists;
• Great Britain may call Russia terrorist for its suspected role in the poisoning of a former KGB agent in London; although Russia denies involvement, the case is being investigated by counterterrorism units;
• A man from New Jersey was charged with abetting terrorists, for helping distribute satellite broadcasts of Hizbollah television, Al Manar;
• A Palestinian official called Israel a terrorist state after an artillery strike in Gaza killed 18 people.

That’s in the last few days.

In the few years: Italian soccer player Marco Materazzi allegedly called French player Zinedine Zidane a “dirty terrorist” during the 2006 World Cup playoffs. An Israeli army deserter who opened fire on Jewish Israeli bus passengers in 2005 was called a terrorist by Russia. A computer science professor at the University of South Florida was called a terrorist leader of Islamic Jihad by the US government.

In 2004 Education secretary Rod Paige called the National Education Association, the American teachers union, terrorist for encouragingg “scare tactics” to block No Child Left Behind legislation. Journalist Seymour Hersh was called a terrorist by Defense Policy Board member Richard Perle in 2003. In 2002, Muhammad, Islam’s prophet, was called a terrorist by evangelist Jerry Falwell.

I don’t mean to take serious matters lightly, and yet, at the rate we’re going, there will soon be hardly anyone left who isn’t considered a terrorist by at least someone. On the up side, maybe it will help us see how declarations of a war on terror could end up feeling like a war against ourselves.”

Wow, this article describes exactly how I feel. How about you?

On April 21^st, 2010, an autistic, but extremely bright savant, known personally to me, (whom I’ll keep his identity private, but we’ll call him Bob,) was tazered three times by three police officers simultaneously in his own home in Provo Utah, witnessed by his family members. His crime? Refusing to be restrained in his own home in the absence of a warrant. Subsequently, Bob needed ICU care due to his unstable, semi-conscious condition. On arrival his heart rate was 180 beats per minute and his left arm weak and nearly non-functional.

(Don’t worry. This is not a HIPPA violation. I had nothing to do with Bob’s hospitalization. I am telling his story with his permission with his firsthand account as my source.)

Bob is still recovering from his traumatic experience mentally, as well as emotionally. Physically, he still experiences problems with his left arm and has abrasions that will scar, on his wrists from the handcuffs.

Bob was never charged with a crime and no further communication has ensued between the law and himself to this date.

Due to my personal connection, this story hits extremely close to home. I’m still bothered a great deal by it.

So what’s the story behind the story?

Bob poked at the hornet’s nest when he shouldn’t have and he was stung—the moral of the story? Hornets exist. Hornets get mad, and if you are deemed a threat, they strike.

Here’s the rest of the story.

By e-mail, Bob made strong complaints to the FBI about their warning on their website relating to an extremist group of people labeled as “sovereign citizens.” He questioned if it was constitutional that the Federal Government, particularly the FBI, should post a page declaring political opinions criminal, (which is a valid point, considering the first and second amendments of the Constitution including the rights of political speech and self defense). He also stated that he didn’t like it that the FBI was encouraging the general population to report their neighbors for the “crime” of having the outlined political opinions, therefore potentially suggesting various criminal activities of those who had not committed any actual crimes, and there for potentially arresting them for “conspiracy to commit a crime.” Then, to use himself as an example, he reported himself, stating that even though he wasn’t a so called, “sovereign citizen” he was forced to turn himself in due to the fact that all the descriptors the FBI used could point to anyone, including him who was passionate about his religious and political beliefs in the constitution—ahhh, thus he was swarmed.

After I heard this story, I did a little investigating of my own to try and figure out what was so threatening to cause so many officers to come unannounced into his home and assault him like they did—like he was an—extremist terrorist—in PROVO UTAH!

Look what I found….

On the Homeland Security website, on a document that is labeled, “for official use only” but made available in a PDF for the public—go figure. The following is an excerpt of their reference aides for law officials to identify internal extremist groups of people that may be deemed potentially threatening. The following are only a few, but potentially the most incriminating to us, as a Christian, and religious and freedom loving people, as you will soon see, their descriptions are so broad and vague, one can fit almost anyone into one of the following categories.

“(U) aboveground (U//FOUO)

A term used to describe extremist groups or

individuals who operate overtly and portray themselves as

law-abiding.”

Hmmm, overtly law-abiding people? 1) Label as extremist, 2) it doesn’t matter if they’re law abiding—there’s something wrong with that. Look at this next definition.

“(U) alternative media (U//FOUO)

A term used to describe various information

sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and

issues that differ radically from those presented in mass

media products and outlets.”

Wow. Information differing from the mass media portrayal is thought of “alternative” under the auspice of extremism? I guess even general conference could be deemed “alternative media.”

“(U) anti-immigration

Extremism (U//FOUO)

A movement of groups or individuals who are

vehemently opposed to illegal immigration, particularly along

the U.S. southwest border with Mexico, and who have been

known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts

of violence and terrorism to advance their extremist goals.

They are highly critical of the U.S. Government’s response to

illegal immigration and oppose government programs that are

designed to extend “rights” to illegal aliens, such as issuing

driver’s licenses or national identification cards and providing

in-state tuition, medical benefits, or public education.”

Aside from the “plot acts of violence and terrorism” shouldn’t we all be against illegal immigration? Hence the word, illegal? Since I’m a law abiding citizen, I must be extremist because I believe others should obey the law? Go figure.

“(U) Christian Identity (U//FOUO)

A racist religious

philosophy that maintains

non-Jewish whites are “God’s

Chosen People” and the true

descendants of the

Twelve Tribes of Israel….”

Oh, ouch. This label is personal. Yes, the web page is lengthy on this part talking about those of this group want to kill all those who aren’t “God’s chosen people.” (There are so many forces/political influences today, worldwide insinuating that Christians want to do this!) That’s why this particular, vague label is so frightening. It’s even worse that it’s on a Federal website of my own country!

I am a Christian! I do believe I’m a descendant of the house of Ephraim who is a blood descendent of the twelve tribes of Israel! I want to be one of God’s chosen children…see? Yikes! I’m feeling a bull’s eye on my forehead already. Duck!

“(U) decentralized terrorist movement (U//FOUO)

A movement of groups or individuals who

pursue shared ideological goals through tactics of leaderless

resistance independent of any larger terrorist organization.”

Couldn’t this be said of any law abiding citizen who loves the constitution?

“(U) extremist group (U//FOUO)

An ideologically driven organization that

advocates or attempts to bring about political, religious,

economic, or social change through the use of force, violence,

or ideologically motivated criminal activity.”

I want change. I don’t like what’s happening to my country. Does that make me unlawful? What’s the definition of force? What is the definition of violence? Can those be manipulated too?

“(U) militia movement (U//FOUO)

A rightwing extremist movement composed of

groups or individuals who adhere to an antigovernment

ideology often incorporating various conspiracy theories.

Members oppose most federal and state laws, regulations, and

authority (particularly firearms laws and regulations) and

often conduct paramilitary training designed to resist

perceived government interference in their activities or to

overthrow the U.S. Government through the use of violence.

(also: citizens militia, unorganized militia)”

(Notice the “right wing” label) Are these the bible thumping, gun toting conservatives Obama was referring to in his election campaign? Because we own guns and believe in the right to defend ourselves, and live together as a people, does this make us a militia? Because we take conceal carry permits is this “paramilitary training”? Because of the prophesy that the Elders of Israel will uphold the constitution when the government doesn’t, does this constitute the desire to overthrow the government? I’m afraid of the interpretations one might make, if wanting to jump to conclusions. No…in reality none of the above characteristics of a God loving, freedom believing people make us a militia, but can’t you see how the government might think so?

I have to admit. I know there are active movements of faithful LDS members who believe it is their responsibility to create a militia and be prepared to fight against the government of the United States in matters of gun control, constitution issues, taxation, etc. (See http://www.angelfire.com/ut2/zionscamp/ for an example of one such Web site.) However! Keep in mind the Lord’s warning to those who intend to use violence in the last days for their own agenda:

“If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints” (Revelation 13:9-10).

A word to the wise: Let the Lord fight our battles. He will move rivers and mountains, for us. The world will shake for our good. Listen to the prophet in everything! We are a peaceful, loving people. Peace will only be found among us in the last days. We must remember this.

“(U) patriot movement (U//FOUO)

A term used by rightwing extremists to link their

beliefs to those commonly associated with the American

Revolution. The patriot movement primarily comprises

violent antigovernment groups such as militias and sovereign

citizens.

(also: Christian patriots, patriot group, Constitutionalists,

Constitutionist)”

Like the tea party? Watch out. These definitions are beyond painful, but we must be aware of them.

“(U) rightwing extremism (U//FOUO)

A movement of rightwing groups or individuals

who can be broadly divided into those who are primarily

hate-oriented, and those who are mainly antigovernment and

reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

This term also may refer to rightwing extremist movements

that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to

abortion or immigration.

(also known as far right, extreme right)”

I want smaller government. I want natural economic principles to work. I want more freedom and less control of the federal government—does that make me a hater?

“(U) sovereign citizen movement (U//FOUO)

A rightwing extremist movement composed of

groups or individuals who reject the notion of

U.S. citizenship. They claim to follow only what they believe

to be God’s law or common law and the original

10 amendments (Bill of Rights) to the U.S. Constitution.

They believe they are emancipated from all other

responsibilities associated with being a U.S. citizen, such as

paying taxes, possessing a driver’s license and motor vehicle

registration, or holding a social security number.

They generally do not recognize federal or state government

authority or laws. Several sovereign citizen groups in the

United States produce fraudulent documents for their

members in lieu of legitimate government-issued forms of

identification. Members have been known to advocate or

engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence and

terrorism in an attempt to advance their extremist goals.

They often target government officials and law enforcement.

(also: state citizens, freemen, preamble citizens, common law

citizens)”

Oh, here’s that extremist group my friend was interrogated and tazed for, even though he made it clear he was not a member!

“(U) tax resistance movement (U//FOUO)

Groups or individuals who vehemently believe

taxes violate their constitutional rights. Among their beliefs

are that wages are not income, that paying income taxes is

voluntary, and that the 16th Amendment to the

U.S. Constitution, which allowed Congress to levy taxes on

income, was not properly ratified. Members have been

known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts

of violence and terrorism in an attempt to advance their

extremist goals. They often target government entities such

as the Internal Revenue Service and the Bureau of Alcohol,

Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

(also: tax protest movement, tax freedom movement, antitax

movement)”

Are taxes constitutional? I’m not trying to cause contention—I pay my taxes. I’m a law abiding citizen, but I do question how much money my government can take from me until it’s deemed slavery. I think in the Book of Mormon—people in bondage paid 50%. Need I say more? We’re getting close. We’re going to get closer.

So after the above identifiers of internal threats to the government, there’s a statement that follows:

“(U) Department of Homeland Security encourages recipients of this document to report information concerning suspicious or criminal activity to DHS and the FBI…. etc.”

Nice. Now I can see how anyone could report their neighbors for practically anything.

 

Now knowing this, take appropriate action. Be even better. Be even more peaceful. Be careful what you say and how you say it. The beast wants any excuse to make an example of us.

 

I know I’ve quoted the following before, but we know the chaos is coming. We know the beast will campaign against us, and we’re beginning to see the preparations for such. We know all of this. He will stamp upon us for a time, times and dividing of times and we’ll see “war of neighborhood against neighborhood, city against city, county against county, state against state, and they will go forth destroying and being destroyed…there will be too much blood-shed—too much mobocracy” (Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 20 151).

“Mobs will not decrease but will increase until the whole government becomes a mob, and eventually it will be State against State, city against city, neighborhood against neighborhood…” (Brigham Young, Deseret News, May 1, 1861, Vol. 9, 2).

But also remember that among Zion there will be safety! The Lord will protect his children that love him! We must keep in mind the Lord’s counsel for us concerning anger and violence:

“Anger doesn’t solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything. The consequences of conflict are so devastating that we yearn for guidance—even a way to ensure our success as we seek the path to peace. What is the way to obtain such a universal blessing? Are there prerequisites? Let us remember that to obtain God’s blessings, one must do God’s bidding” (Thomas S. Monson, “Finding Peace,” Ensign, Mar. 2004, 3).

“There shall be no disputations among you. …For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another. Behold, this is not my doctrine, to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but this is my doctrine, that such things should be done away” (3 Nephi 11:28-30).

If chaos does begin to unravel this country, baton down the hatches, let the storm pass and stay low—don’t poke at the hornet’s nest, unless you want to get stung!
